RACE CATEGORIES

  • Yes, it is possible to change your race category; however, a $5 replacement fee will apply. Please contact us via email to request the category change.

  • Yes, you can make changes to your team registration. Adding a teammate, changing a teammate, or removing a teammate is allowed. Please note that a $5 replacement fee will apply for each change. Kindly email us to make the necessary adjustments.

  • If you and your friends are in the same category and would like to run together, please email us at sc-nvm@e.ntu.edu.sg. We will try our best to accommodate your request and ensure you start in the same wave.

  • Absolutely! You are welcome to sign up for multiple categories. However, please note that you cannot sign up for multiple races within the same category. Each race category has its own registration fee.

  • The distribution of goodie bags and event t-shirts will correspond to the number of race categories you have registered for.

  • Certainly! Your team is welcome to participate in the race, even if you have fewer members than the specified requirement. However, please note that teams with fewer members will not be eligible for prizes.

  • The entire run consists of 33 floors.

    For a team of 3 participants:

    • The 1st runner will run from the 1st floor to the 11th floor.

    • The 2nd runner will run from the 11th floor to the 22nd floor.

    The 3rd runner will run from the 22nd floor to the 33rd floor.

  • Absolutely! This year, we are thrilled to announce that teams consisting of NTU/NIE students and participants from other universities can sign up for the Youth Challenge together. Not only that, but we have special pricing available exclusively for NTU/NIE students in mixed teams with participants from NTU/NIE and other universities. So, gather your friends from different universities and join the Youth Challenge together!

  • The registration fees for the Family Fun Run are as follows:

    • For 3 participants: $108 in total ($36 per person)

    • For 4 participants: $120 in total ($30 per person)

    • For 5 participants: $130 in total ($26 per person)

  • Participants' age is determined based on the current calendar year. For example, if you were born in 1978, you would qualify for the Veterans' Open category.

  • Yes there are!

    Individual Category:

    Men's Open: Participants aged 16 years and above.

    Women's Open: Participants aged 16 years and above.

    Veterans' Open: Participants aged 45 years and above.

    Youths' Open: Participants aged 16 to 24 years.

    Junior Climbers: Participants aged 12 to 15 years.

    Team Category:

    Teams' Open: Minimum of 2 female participants.

    Youth Challenge: Participants aged 16 to 24 years.

    Family Fun Run: Minimum of 1 child (aged 12 to 18 years) and 1-2 adults (aged 19 years and above).

    Relay Challenge: Minimum of 1 female participant. (Includes both Open Relay and Corporate Relay)

    Note: If the category requirements are not met, participants can still participate but will not be eligible for the top placing prizes.

 

REGSITRATION

  • Please scan the PAYNOW QR code provided in the form.

    Under Remarks, input the Participant Name (Individual) or First Participant Name (Team).

  • After participants submit the registration form, an receipt will be sent to the the email provided in the form within 3 working days.

    To ensure that your registration is processed smoothly, please follow the pricing indicated. Kindly input the correct amount, as any discrepancies may result in delays in verification and processing.

  • Payments made are non-refundable, except at the discretion of the organizers.

    Participants are required to save a screenshot of their payment confirmation for verification purposes.

  • Each team will only need to complete 1 team registration form. Full payment for the entire team will only need to be done by one person.

 

EVENT DETAILS

  • The event will be carried out in waves, hence all participants will only need to report at their allocated reporting time, which will be allocated based on categories. An email containing the event details and the reporting timings will be sent to all participants at least 1 week before the event.

  • You can only register if the category that you are participating is open for registration. However, you may proceed to our side games and other booths on the event ground while waiting for your scheduled reporting time.

  • Unfortunately no, you will have to register again at your allocated time slot for the next category you’re participating in.

  • All baggage should be deposited at the baggage counter before entering the building due to security reasons.

  • You are advised to visit the toilet before your race. Your timing will continue to run should you decide to visit the toilet halfway through the race.

  • No, unfortunately no changing of team members is allowed after completion of registration. Your team will still be allowed to complete the marathon but the team will not be ranked. As for the relay categories, the preceding runner will have to cover for the runner that did not turn up. i.e. if the 3rd runner is absent, the 2nd runner will be required to cover the 3rd runner's required climb.

  • Yes, of course! Results of individual/team timing will be released on the day itself. The official results will also be posted on our website approximately 1 week after the event.

 

Race Pack Collection

  • Race packs include an Event T-shirt and a goodie bag. The race bib will be provided on the day of registration. Additionally, upon successfully completing the race, all participants will be awarded a Finisher's Medal.

  • You will need to bring your identification card (IC) and your official receipt

  • Yes, you will need a printed letter of authorisation from the participant to collect their race pack. This can be found on our Race Pack Collection page. Please ensure you have this letter with you during collection. If you do not have access to a printer, you may email it to us at sc-nvm@e.ntu.edu.sg.

    However, if you are collecting the race pack on behalf of a teammate, you do not need a letter of authorization. Instead, please make sure to bring a copy of their identification card (IC) for verification purposes

OTHERS

  • Unfortunately, we are unable to allow for exchanges of sizes for event tee. The sizes are strictly according to the participant’s indication on the registration form.

  • For easy identification and safety purposes, all participants taking part in National Vertical Marathon 2023 will have to change into the event tee or they will not be allowed into the building.
